David joined the Sloan Foundation in July 2016. In his role as Information Systems Manager, David works with the grants and technology team to assess the Foundation’s changing operational needs and to develop and implement systems to meet them. Among other duties, he administers and supports grants management and budgeting software, develops IT documentation and best practices, and contributes to strategic IT planning.
Prior to joining the Foundation, David worked in a variety of roles at the University of Texas at Austin. As IT Manager for the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, David led a team of engineers and business analysts in building and providing support for central IAM systems. As Senior Software Developer/Analyst on the Human Resource Management System, he led development on Security, Search, and University Affiliate workgroups. And as Information Analyst, he trained and worked on software engineering, database design, and technical project management.
David earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Cornell University in 2006.
